Forestry Cluster – Forestry has been identified as a Cluster Industry in Scotland and as such has the full backing of Scottish Enterprise to develop its traditional base. FEG are making full use of this help to further initiatives in the interests of the industry. Two recent examples are :-

they are carrying out the education survey to find which levels of qualification are necessary to advance the industry to greater profits.
they are helping with the political lobbying to introduce the findings of the DTI Mission on roads.

List of Papers – this will be made up gradually as and when indexes are found.

Database – FEG now has a working database containing almost 1000 names of those who have attended past conferences or expressed an interest in Forestry Engineering. The fields by which they can be searched include country, job, member or non-member etc.

Training – FEG can arrange student mentors. All FEG symposia carry CPD points
