LTA2
Who is this for?
It is expected that from the outset, every technician with relevant experience of employment in the industry will be eligible to be signed up to the LTA2 register. These technicians will represent the majority of Dealer technical staff. Motivated and skilled individuals will be encouraged to progress to LTA3.
How to register
It is expected that registrants to LTA2 will have been in relevant employment for a minimum of 4 to 5 years.
- There will be an initial period during which acceptance to the LTA2 register will be via “Grandparent Rights” route. Acceptance by this route will be via the manufacturer on recommendation by the Dealer Principal.
- The duration of acceptance by this route will be up to 24 months, the period to begin from date of the manufacturer’s signature on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
- After this initial 24 month period, acceptance and accreditation will then be by assessment.
- Registration fee £55 per period of 5 years. There will be no extra registration fee payable for progression within LTA2 or to LTA3 but there will be a nominal charge (£10) for the re-issue of lost and/or updated registration cards if within registration period.
- To apply for registration under the scheme, click the Register button above.
