The IAgrE Awards ceremony takes place each year at the Annual Conference. These awards are made to recognise outstanding contributions to agricultural engineering and the associated industries, and to the Institution itself. Click for further details of the Awards given in recent years.

Nominations for Awards are requested in the late spring/summer from the Branches and Technical Groups and from Council and Executive. Additionally, nominations are requested from the members of the Institution. Nominations are put to the Awards Panel which meets in mid-October, with an additional meeting in January if necessary, to select Award winners for approval by Council.

- Honorary Fellow
Made to a member of IAgrE who is distinguished by work in agricultural science or engineering, or a distinguished person whom the Institution wishes to honour for services rendered to the Institution
- Award of Merit
Made to a person who is distinguished by work in agricultural science or engineering
- Michael Dwyer Award
Made to a mid-career engineer who has made outstanding progress in the agricultural engineering industry
- Award for Contribution to the Land Based Sector
Made to a member of IAgrE who has made a sustained contribution to the land based sector throughout their career.
- Branch or Group Meritorious Award
Made to a member of IAgrE who has rendered outstanding service to a Branch or Group over a number of years
- Douglas Bomford Paper Award
Made to the author(s) of the winning paper published in Landwards or Biosystems Engineering
- Johnson New Holland Trophy Award
Made on the basis of a practical project undertaken by student(s) as part of their courses
- IAgrE Student Project Award
Made on the basis of a practical project undertaken by student(s) as part of their courses
- IAgrE Safety Award
Made to encourage and recognise innovation in safe design or operation of equipment or processes by students of subjects related to engineering in the land based sector
- West Midlands Branch Trophies
Made by the West Midlands branch to highlight and promote good agricultural engineering practice
