Pioneering Technology Interest Group

The aim of the Pioneering Technology Interest Group (PTIG) is to assist members to learn more about the great technological developments, the challenges that were overcome and how we may use this knowledge.

The United Kingdom has always been at the forefront of design and development, from the invention of the seed drill through to satellite mapping technology. The Pioneering Technology Interest Group exists to enable members be aware of this great heritage and help them learn from the steps of the agricultural engineering giants that have gone before.

The Group organises occasional visits and meetings, often in conjunction with other organisations, and has a small video library of interest to members and branches. The PTIG is overseen by West Midlands Branch.

As one of the great engineers put it . . ." The more a person looks back, the further they can see forward" - Henry Ford.

Bob Voss of the PTIG has an archive of ag-eng related slides dating back many years which he is prepared to make available to interested members.
