International Membership
For many years now, it has been apparent that access to IAgrE membership for those living in low-income countries has become difficult at the rates charged for those working in the developed world. With the advent of electronic communications, the IAgrE is now able to offer a discounted package which could be attractive to those in less developed countries (LDCs).
The package offers memberships to people from those countries which the World Bank categorises as low-income, low-middle income and upper-middle income based on per capita income. The scheme is open only to nationals living and working in their home country. Membership will be conducted mainly by email. Thus the main reduction in benefit will be that routine postal mailings from IAgrE (such as Landwards) will not take place. Members will still receive full benefits including electronic access to Landwards and any other publications available electronically by logging in to the members' area of the IAgrE website.
The annual membership subscriptions under the scheme are based on the World
Bank's income classifications and are given below in GB Pounds per calendar
year.
