The Institution of Agricultural Engineers is committed to protecting the privacy of both members and non-members.
Any personal information captured on IAgrE websites is protected under the eight data protection principles outlined in the Data Protection Act 1998. These principles safeguard the reasonable and lawful use of personal data without infringing on user privacy.
Data maintained by IAgrE will be used confidentially for normal purposes, including subscription collection, mailing of publications, and notification of conferences and events. Where such items or services are purchased via the IAgrE website, we will ask you to input and will collect Personal Information from you such as your name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, product/service selections, and credit card or other payment information .
We confirm that any Personal Information which you provide to us (or which is available on public registers) and any User Information from which we can identify you, is held in accordance with the registration we have with the Data Commissioner's Office. Unless members have indicated otherwise, IAgrE may also submit relevant data to carefully screened third parties who can offer members and customers useful information and services. Revenue secured from third parties will help IAgrE improve and enhance its current services.
UK Branch and Overseas members may have their data transferred to their relevant local Branch or Country representatives for administration of local events in their country of residence where relevant. IAgrE may also use relevant information to target and promote journals, training, and other services.
